Gatti Filtrazioni Lubrificanti establishes a strategic partnership with La Spezia Container Terminal
We are pleased to announce a new and important collaboration between Gatti Filtrazioni Lubrificanti and La Spezia Container Terminal (LSCT), the container gateway terminal of the Contship Group, and a key player in port logistics and intermodal transport in Italy.
This partnership is based on a shared vision of operational excellence and environmental sustainability, and is being launched through a pilot project involving two cranes at the terminal. The initiative includes the installation of advanced oil filtration systems for the lifting gear reducers, along with smart sensors to monitor in real time the oil quality, temperature, and machine vibrations.
The data collected will be processed through our proprietary platform Gatti Future, which uses artificial intelligence algorithms to identify potential anomalies in advance, reduce downtime, optimize maintenance, and improve operational continuity.
This collaboration is part of Contship’s broader ecological transition strategy, aiming to reduce emissions along the entire value chain. By working with low-carbon suppliers like Gatti, the partnership helps cut energy consumption, extend component lifespan, and significantly reduce oil disposal and purchase costs.
The agreement also includes training programs through the Gatti Academy, where LSCT technicians and operators will learn best practices for the efficient and responsible use of industrial lubricants.
